What should your client know about you?
Each client should know that my passion for mental health has been lifelong and rewarding. I love what I do. Additionally, I do my best to practice self-care and work-life balance. The populations I have worked with have Included a variety of people of different ages and backgrounds. I’ve volunteered in hospice and equestrian therapy. I interned at a nonprofit for single parents and for the courthouse renewing conservatorships. In the last few years, I worked in residential adult mental health before transitioning to outpatient individual and group therapy.
What is your approach to therapy?
Clients should know that I look to work as a team with my clients. I work with each client in a unique way as each person is unique themselves. We would take time to connect your environment and upbringing to your coping skills and behaviors. I utilize multiple
therapeutic modalities including CBT, DBT, MI, solution focused, strength based and problem solving to name the main ones.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
I look to structure sessions with clients based on their goals for therapy and immediate needs that arise. Clients can expect to see a lot of their therapeutic work happen in their day-to-day life. I empower clients to communicate and work on areas of their life that need tending to.
What was your path on becoming a therapist?
My path to becoming a therapist began early with a curiosity for social sciences. I found my way to Social Work while studying
Sociology. I dove into the helping profession and volunteered, interned while completing my Masters of Social Work degree at
California State University Northridge in 2019.
