Miranda Bejarano, MSW, ACSW
What should your client know about you?
My clients should know that I’m very empathetic, dedicated, motivated to help others and understanding. I’m an effective listener, and pride myself on being able to effectively communicate.
What is your approach to therapy?
My approach to providing therapy is always to meet the client where they are at, setting realistic expectations and provide support.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
My clients can expect to feel heard and validated.
What was your path on becoming a therapist?
Ever since I can remember, I have always been the person people go to for support or an ear to listen to. While navigating undergraduate school and understanding more about how the human thought process and our actions work, I knew I wanted to continue my education and one day do what I do best as a professional, be there for others. Once I completed my Masters, I was determined to obtain a job within my profession. I have worked in health care for the past 10+ years and I’ve also become a Medical Social Worker. My current role in a hospital setting as a Medical Social Worker allows me to wear many hats (adjustment to illness, mental health/crisis support, substance abuse, etc.).
