Biography

I am a licensed clinical psychologist who works with adults and adolescents who are coping with various concerns such as depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder. I also work effectively with individuals experiencing situational stressors such as bereavement, relationship conflicts, or loss. In a supportive and confidential environment, I help clients reduce emotional distress, understand problematic behaviors, and develop tools to improve their quality of life.

I employ a multi-theoretical approach to treatment, integrating various frameworks to conceptualize the client’s presenting problem and clinical needs.

Clients will develop/further develop an ability to examine patterns of thought and associated emotional and behavioral responses in an attempt to modify the presenting problem. In addition, treatment will serve to develop healthy, adaptive coping mechanisms that a client can utilize to manage symptoms or other concerns.

I obtained my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Georgetown University and my doctorate in Forensic Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology-Fresno. Throughout my undergraduate and graduate history, I worked with varying populations such as survivors of domestic violence and sexual abuse. I continue to seek training in different therapeutic approaches, such as trauma-focused, in order to enhance the treatment I provide to others.
