Fereshte Mirzad, MA, MA, PsyD

What should your client know about you?

I am a licensed clinical psychologist with experience in providing treatment for depression, anxiety, grief and loss, trauma, and relationship issues. I work with individuals seeking help to alleviate symptoms of depression, anxiety, adjusting to life circumstances, coping with broken relationships and traumatic experiences. Whether you feel irritable, stuck, fatigued, anxious, disinterested, or vulnerable, there is capacity for healing and renewal. The process of healing involves understanding how our past interactions and environments have shaped our perception of self, others, and the world we live in; in addition to developing skills to cope with negative thoughts and emotions that lead to feeling overwhelmed.

What is your approach to therapy?

My approach as a therapist is to provide a safe and supportive environment where I can partner with my clients to alleviate negative thoughts and emotions that make it difficult to achieve peace of mind.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I am dedicated to help my clients develop effective coping techniques to help navigate through difficult emotions, thoughts, and life circumstances so that they can lead more peaceful, fulfilled, and productive lives.

What was your path on becoming a psychologist?

I obtained my BA in Cognitive Psychology for the University in California, Irvine. Subsequently, I earned a MA in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis on Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT). To pursue a higher degree and expand my knowledge of psychiatric assessment, I completed and earned an additional MA in Clinical Psychology. In conclusion, I pursued and earned my terminal doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology with a concentration on Neuropsychology.
