Biography

I have been involved in the mental health field for more than 15 years, 10 years of which I’ve practiced as a licensed psychologist both in the U.S. Air Force and in private practice. I have varied experience helping those with depression, PTSD, anxiety and stress, grief, personality disorders, and LGBTQ+ issues. I provide a safe, non-judgmental environment where clients can discuss and work through any issues they feel are important.

I place a large emphasis on helping clients challenge negative thoughts with fact-based solutions. I want to provide each client with the tools needed to work through their problems and focus on improving their lives. When employing Solutions-Focused therapy, I concentrate on being goal-focused, and future-oriented, concentrating on finding solutions to problems faced by clients. I understand that a lot of clients come to teletherapy faced with many short-term issues that require immediate solutions. I try to help them achieve that.

During the first sessions I like to spend time listening to a client, hearing their story, and understanding their needs. I also like to set initial goals for therapy. I ask questions and try to help clients visualize how they can make their lives better.
