I am a first-generation Latina bilingual speaking therapist (Spanish and English). I have experience with providing individual, couples, and family sessions to those dealing with a variety of mental health disorders that include depression, PTSD, and anxiety.
I have worked as an outpatient mental health therapist for five years. I have had the opportunity to be certified in a couple of evidence-based practices, MAP (Managing and Adapting Practices), TF-CBT (Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), and CPP (Child-Parent Psychotherapy). My primary orientation is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help individuals find healthy ways to cope, positively perceive themselves, and strengthen their relationships with others. Although CBT is my primary orientation, I take an eclectic approach when working with clients, assessing the best fit to meet their needs.
Clients can expect a warm and welcoming safe space when working with me. Clients can expect me to hold them accountable but also acknowledge their feelings and experiences. They can expect to grow individually as well as within their relationships.
I have obtained my bachelor’s in Child Development and Master of Social Work from CSUN (California State University, Northridge). I earned my doctoral degree from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
