Biography

Mental health shouldn’t be a taboo topic, yet even today, stigma can make it difficult to talk openly about what we’re experiencing. I hope to help break down those barriers by creating a space where clients feel welcomed and comfortable discussing everyday emotions, life transitions, and experiences from the past.

Clients can expect a warm and supportive environment while also being challenged to explore the thoughts, feelings, and patterns they bring into sessions. I believe therapy can be a space for more than addressing what feels “wrong.” It can also be an opportunity for self-reflection, personal growth, strengthening relationships, navigating change, and better understanding yourself. You don’t have to wait until life feels overwhelming to begin therapy; sometimes having a space to talk through life before it reaches that point can be just as valuable.

As for me, I am a first-generation Latina, born and raised in East Los Angeles, California. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from San Francisco State University and am currently pursuing my Master of Social Work at The Ohio State University. Like many people, my path to this field hasn’t been linear. I previously worked in corporate tech, where I gained firsthand insight into the challenges of burnout, workplace stress, and maintaining a healthy work-life balance. After experiencing unexpected layoffs, I made the decision to change career paths and pursue social work.

I bring both my personal and professional experiences into my approach and look forward to creating a space where clients feel heard, supported, and encouraged as they work toward greater well-being.
